Yvonne Bayer's Three Photos

I chose this image because with all the bags on it it truly looks as it was really an actual stand or advertisement. They did remarkable work with this project. It was hard to narrow my choices down just because of how well they always do their work. I picked this one because it takes reality and urban camouflage and mixes them up perfectly.









These boxes are piled and stacked high up on a person making it a great illusion. You'd think that it was a marketing campaign even, but it's just a person. They never got permission to do these which is why I like them so much. This one I chose because they clearly went all out and did something completely crazy, and out of the box.










Lastly I have picked this photo because it represents a pile of binders or papers, I haven't quite figured it out yet. There's a mystery behind this one I find, it's what drew me to it. Having enough creativity to make these in the first place is hard, but doing it to the extent and quality that Sebina and Yvonne did is amazing.

Yvonne Bayer and Sabina Keric worked together on an urban camouflage project in 2007. They had taken many different objects like Ikea bags, gloves and even bottles to create their work. While working they came into unsatisfied watchers seeing this creation, but that did not stop the absolute fun of the project. At this time Yvonne was a student at Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Sweden. Here is where all the ideas blossomed.













One of her many projects was being covered in Ikea bags standing beside a bin of them. Working with Sabina they created this masterpiece. Having customers walking by they didn't always get the kind of feedback they wanted, even to the extent that they would have to leave places. The work they usually do is in commercial areas, or a large amount of space. Creating these projects could be either expensive and time consuming, or cheap and quick.











Having so many different objects and huge piles of them, they have an endless supply of ideas. One they had was of using binders as the camouflage. Going into large un-artistic areas is what creates the most surprising of reactions. Having these large areas makes their work the easiest. So many places to go and so many things to use. This is definitely thinking out of the box.














Their next project contains a lot of boxes. Now they have travelled into a very commercial space. Here is a great example of working together, creating such a spectacle to these unsuspecting people having no clue what is going on. Yvonne and Sabina have made so many different creations, yet I think this one is their best. It makes the work have a whole new look and I believe that is a great thing to have.













There are so many possibilities for this kind of project and Yvonne and Sabina use many of them. No ordinary person can create such a thing, you have to be truly creative like these two. Making these can take too much time and sometimes not enough. It can make you spend too much and even small amounts as well. Looking through these photos and videos I am inspired to do something like them, and put just as much effort as them in.

Dreams of Flying

#1 This was a test shot that I have taken two test shots.
      The idea was to make it look like she was on a flying dog.

    It is supposed to look like one is floating away and the other is trying to keep her down.

     She is a circus act walking a tightrope.

My inspiration for this was seeing a photo of a plane that was really pretty.
I made a paper airplane, and had my sister pose as if she was hanging from it.
No edits have been made.

I was inspired by swimming. Going on a long trip and enjoying the pool afterwards.
Took a blue sheet, googles and my sister again to seem like she was doing a cannon ball.
No edits were done.

#6 This one is the test shot for my last final image.

I saw a umbrella at home and imagined a cartoon where the wind carried a person away, and wanted to re-create it.

Jan's Dreams of Flying

The idea to the image is that the kid is dreaming of flying. Portraying this image by laying the objects down in an unusual manner creates the look as if he really was flying. This photo may need a slightly higher aperture setting than usual because of the sand and bright sun. I like the concept put behind this image.

The representation of the flying in this one is through swinging on a vine in the jungle. Having the brown boards behind the boys makes it look a little bit as if there was really trees that they were flying by. It is creating the illusion they are possibly actually flying.

Space consumption in this photo creates the dimensional need for the flying illusion. Placement of the bikes has a effect that makes this photo "believable." Jan has a way of making things seem as if they are happening yet making the image completely and utterly unrealistic, and that is a great quality for this type of imagery. For the 'sky,' the cement really works to create the part to a level of belief.

Jan Von Holleben

Jan is a photographer who started at 13 years old after his fathers influence. he has work and exhibits throughout the world, not only just his work but group works as well. Before this he had taught children with disabilities and then he had moved to London and pursued his photographic career. He absolutely loves working with his friends, pirates of any kind and fairies, he likes dragons and monsters, even punks. Herbal tea and mountains are his inspiration, colourful socks and long swims bring joy, bikes and Bircher Musli complete the package. He is over all a very famous person and has gotten many awards like Lead Awards, Lens Culture Award and even London Photographic Award. If you look at his work you will always be amazed, and it would be found almost anywhere you go.
